We want children to have opportunities to make, experiment, perform and express themselves.
Creative experiences can help children develop their imagination, confidence, communication and ability to think in different ways.
Science will also be part of our creative and exploratory approach, encouraging children to question, investigate, experiment and discover how things work.

We want children to experience learning beyond traditional environments.
This may include exploring nature, visiting farms, taking part in outdoor learning, discovering new places, experiencing adventure and developing a deeper connection with the world around them.
We also see opportunities to introduce children to meaningful experiences through local, national and eventually international travel and discovery.

The world is made up of different people, stories, cultures and traditions.
We want children to have opportunities to experience this diversity in meaningful ways, not simply by learning about cultures from a distance, but by meeting people, sharing experiences, exploring traditions and developing curiosity about the wider world.
Through this, we hope to encourage respect, understanding, connection and a sense of belonging within a wider community.

Every child should feel that there is a place for them.
Our programmes will aim to create welcoming and accessible experiences for children and families with different abilities, needs, interests and ways of participating.
This may include adapted activities, smaller-group experiences, sensory-considerate approaches, additional support and family-supported participation where appropriate.
Inclusion will not be a separate programme that sits alongside our work. It will be part of how we design our work from the beginning.
We want children to feel welcomed, respected and able to participate in ways that work for them.

Every experience has the potential to contribute to a child's development.
Our aim is not simply to deliver activities. We want to create experiences that help children discover something about the world, and something about themselves.
Through participation, children may develop confidence, communication, independence, creativity, problem-solving, resilience, teamwork, physical skills and a stronger sense of who they are.
The experience comes first. The learning grows from it.
